Neharu Science Center Visit3rd march 2023
On March 4, 2023, three members of the club, Erica Dsouza, Lavena Babu, and Ashish Jha, visited the Nehru Science Center located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The purpose of the visit was to explore and learn about the different aspects of science and technology through various exhibits and displays.
Arrival and Entry:
The Nehru Science Center is located in Worli, Mumbai, and is easily accessible by public transport. Upon arriving at the center, the members were warmly welcomed by the staff, who provided them with a brief overview of the exhibits and the rules of the center. They were then given entry passes and allowed to enter the center.
Exhibits:
The Nehru Science Center is a vast complex with numerous exhibits and displays, showcasing various scientific and technological advancements. The members first visited the Hall of Science, where they learned about different scientific phenomena like sound, light, and electricity through interactive exhibits. They were amazed by the exhibits that demonstrated the properties of waves, such as standing waves and resonance.
The next stop was the Energy Park, which demonstrated various types of renewable energy sources like solar and wind energy. They were thrilled to learn about how these sources can help in reducing carbon emissions and combat climate change. They also visited the Heritage Gallery, which showcased the achievements and contributions of Indian scientists.
In the Innovation and Technology Experience Zone, the members learned about the latest technological advancements, such as robotics,Engineering and spca science.
